Help Metro win the Treasure Chest’s “Trees of Hope” Contest.
Here’s how to vote for Metro:
1. Use your player’s card to print out a ballot at any kiosk in the casino. If you don’t have a card, you can get one at the players Club for free!!
2. Circle Metro’s name on the ballot and drop it off in the Trees of Hope box located on the walkway with the treees. Metro’s tree is Letter M and has our name on the sign in front of the tree.
Vote Everyday Dec.1-17(ends at noon).
The winner with the most votes will receive $5,000.

Metro’s Holiday News!!
In preparation for the holiday season, we will stop accepting used donations on Monday, November 2nd.  We are accepting holiday donations only from November 2nd through January 1st.  Our holiday donation schedule for accepting holiday donations is Monday – Friday from 9:00AM – 4:00PM.

We will resume accepting all donations on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 and will be following our normal donation schedule of  Monday and Wednesday from 9:00AM – 4:00PM.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 504-837-5400.  Thank you for your understanding and support.”

METRO is so very thankful for all of the community support we receive. For those who may be interested in making donations, please see the information below regarding how and when you can make donations. Thanks!

Beginning July 27th, donations can be made on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30am-4:30pm only.

You may call the main office for further information, should you have any questions or scheduling conflicts.

Metro was the recipient of the Outstanding Organization Award and Evelena received a Merit Award for her 15+ years of service to the field.  Marge Garvey presented Evelena with beautiful red roses on behalf of our Board of Directors.  Metro was proudly represented by several Board Members and Staff!!  We had 2 1/2 tables of attendees!

Fat Boy Race!

With our deepest appreciation to everyone who came out to support METRO through The Fat Boy Race.The event was well attended. Everyone had a wonderful time! We loved seeing all the costumes and creative themes!

A great need for caring VOLUNTEERS

Metro is in need of daytime Crisis Call volunteers. All training will be provided by Metro. If you are interested  in our continuous efforts to eliminate and prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, please call the 24-hour hotline or fill out an application on our website and e-mail it to the provided address. Training starting in January 2013 for all volunteers. Thank you.
