The Staff and Board of the Metropolitan Center for Women and Children sincerely appreciate your generosity and support. In preparation for Thanksgiving and Christmas, we are only accepting Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas Donations from donors who have requested a Christmas Wish List and adopted our families. Space is limited, therefore, we are only accepting new items from our families’ wish list for Christmas. We will resume accepting all donations beginning January 12, 2015. Donations will be accepted by appointment only. Please call our office at 504-837-5400 to schedule a donation drop off after January 12, 2015.”

Victims and Survivors

Survivor’s Dinner at the Kenner City Park Pavilion was provided by the Moisant Kiwanis Club.  Attended by 60 survivors, Mayor Mike Yenni, Police Chief Micheal Glaser and Margaret Hay from Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office who provided the cake.

Thank you to all who supported and attended this event. We couldn’t do what we do without you all!

The Greater New Orleans Corvette Club

Car Show
Greater New Orleans Corvette Club Extravetteganza was held on Saturday October 18th.  Over 260 cars were displayed.  Everyone received a purple ribbon and information about Metro.  Proceeds from this event are donated to Metro.

A great need for caring VOLUNTEERS

Metro is in need of daytime Crisis Call volunteers. All training will be provided by Metro. If you are interested  in our continuous efforts to eliminate and prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, please call the 24-hour hotline or fill out an application on our website and e-mail it to the provided address. Training starting in January 2013 for all volunteers. Thank you.
