Metropolitan Center for Women and Children is partnering with the New Orleans Film Society to give a pair of tickets to the screenings of two films during the 2016 New Orleans Film Festival! The film will be Untouchable and Five Awake with screening times below. Untouchable is an in-depth exploration of the damage sex offenders wreak on their victims’ lives and their own, and Five Awake is an inspiring look at the tireless work of five women to pass critical domestic violence laws in Louisiana.

Metro was the recipient of the OutstandingOrganization Award and Evelena received a Merit Award for her 15+ years of service to the field.Marge Garvey presented Evelena with beautiful red roses on behalf of our Board of Directors.Metro was proudly represented by several Board Members and Staff!!  We had 2 1/2 tables of attendees!

A great need for caring VOLUNTEERS

Metro is in need of daytime Crisis Call volunteers. All training will be provided by Metro. If you are interested  in our continuous efforts to eliminate and prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, please call the 24-hour hotline or fill out an application on our website and e-mail it to the provided address. Training starting in January 2013 for all volunteers. Thank you.
