Blush Ball 2012

Presented by the Pussyfooters-Party with a Purpose

On January 28, 2012 join the Pussyfooters to help raise $15,000 for Metro to help break the cycle of domestic violence and aid survivors of sexual assault. The ball will be featuring Big Sam's Funky Nation, DJ Brice Nice & performances by the Pussyfooters. For advanced tickets or more information please visit:

The Richard West Freeman Endowment Challenge

With the help of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, METRO has received a grant from the Richard West Freeman Endowment Challenge to create an endowment. The grant matches one dollar to every two dollars donated on behalf of Metro. Norco Center

Metropolitan Center for Women & Children is now serving domestic violence and sexual assault victims located in the Norco, La area.  All serves are free and confidential. If you or someone you know needs counseling or have a question, please call the main office number at

504-837-5400.

 

We received our Accreditation!

We are proud to announce that Metro has been successfully accredited through Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault. We are excited to be acknowledged for the quality of our organization. We strive to continue to provide quality services to survivors of sexual assault.

 

A great need for caring VOLUNTEER'S

 

Metro is in need of daytime Crisis Call volunteers. All training will be provided by Metro. If you are interested  in our continuous efforts to eliminate and prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, please call the 24-hour hotline or fill out an application on our website and e-mail it to the provided address. Training starting in January 2011 for all volunteers. Thank you.
